Ovenden Allworks have recently completed the works on the A252 Challock Safety scheme.

The Road Safety Foundation highlighted that the A252 stretch between the villages of Chilham and Charing was one of the 50 most dangerous local A roads in Britain. This included over 7000m2 of planning and laying new binder and wearing courses over the period of 8 days and 3 nights, whilst operating traffic management to keep the road open and disruption to a minimum.

We also constructed 11nr traffic islands and 3nr sections of road widening along the A252, plus various civils including 500m2 of new footpath and new drainage to areas that historically flooded.

We also installed 226nr new safety road signs. These included 58nr chevroflex signs and other large road information signs mounted on optimist posts.

Plus we installed ducting for a new street light lit junction.
