These works encompassed the dismantling and removal of the original ramp that had fallen into disrepair and the construction of a replacement.
The new ramp required a driven concrete pile foundation to be installed. Ovenden Allworks let this sub-contract to Roger Bullivant piling engineers.
We then had to install pile caps to these, which proved challenging but we worked to an organised programme working around the tides to complete these and the reinforced concrete bottom landing.
Upon these foundations the precast units that made up the majority of the structure were fixed into place and securely grouted in.
Finally, the reinforced concrete top landing for access was completed and finished off with a gate and lamp post, both fitted by Ovenden Allworks.
